Abstract
THERE is at present great interest in the effects of fluoride on the skeletal and dental tissues, owing to its considerable beneficial effect on dental health1, its potential use in the treatment of bone disease2,3 and, somewhat paradoxically, its capacity to cause dental and skeletal fluorosis4,5.
