Front Cover: Cationic Sulfonium-Based Tripodal Ligand and Its Rh(I) Complexes

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

The Front Cover showcases the X-ray structure of the first sulfonium-centered cationic tripodal ligand coordinated to a RhI carbonyl metal fragment. Compared to the isoelectronic neutral or negatively charged tripodal ligands, the distinctive electronic impact of the positive S+ core substantially increases rhodium electrophilicity thereby creating a highly Lewis-acidic catalyst platform. More details are provided in the Research Article by R. Gershoni-Poranne, Y. Tulchinsky and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/chem.71052).
