Abstract

Fulicineroside, a glycosidic dibenzofuran metabolite from the slime mold Fuligo cinerea collected in the Czech Republic, has been isolated as a new natural product. Its structure was elucidated from UV, IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data and chemical degradation. The compound was highly active against Gram-positive bacteria and crown gall tumors.
