Abstract

By deploying the concept of Soundscape Edwin Seroussi examine the sonic experience of the Venice Getto's inhabitants, their neighbors and visitors beyond the specific category of sound called "music". He join in this endeavor recent scholarship that has stressed the sensory construction of public spaces and the relations between the senses and architecture in Renaissance Venice.
