Abstract

American and Israeli subjects, right and left handers, males and females, were observed as they drew horizontal character elements, drew lines and faces and performed a simple manual task. The graphological patterns suggest that the writing behaviour of right handers of either culture is determined by biological factors, whereas left handers are influenced by environmental factors, and exhibit compromises when these are in conflict with the biological ones.
