Abstract

This article is about a writing group of mostly mature women, which meets in my house for 3 hours every fortnight to write and share pieces of our life stories. Deep relationships develop in the group, where the participants bring up mostly painful episodes from their past. Seven highly different stories about the suggested title-What people throw out to the street-are reported. The healing potential of writing and sharing such stories in a group is demonstrated and discussed.
