Abstract

Previous studies performed in our laboratory on desert and comfort climate dweller rodents have shown that acclimation to heat involves cellular and/or metabolic changes in the peripheral effector organs. These changes seem to modify the mode of thermoregulatory responses during heat stress in the acclimated body (1).
