N2 - Single-photon sources that form the basis for various quantum applications have seen fast development. The deterministic generation of single photons can amongst others be realized by semiconductor quantum dots. To achieve efficient sources, parameters such as the brightness, photon rates, directionality, room-temperature stability, etc. need to be optimized. To modify the emission properties of individual quantum dots, they can be coupled to nano-antennas. Here a design that enables bright room-temperature quantum light sources is demonstrated.
