Abstract

Metallosilicalite xerogels of the type MO_x-SiO₂ where M isTi^IV, V^V, Mo^VI, W^VI and Se ^IV have been prepared by the sol-gel method and used as heterogeneous catalysts for the epoxidation, allylic oxidation and carbon-carbon bond cleavage of alkenes, the hydroxylation of phenols, and the oxidation of alcohols to ketones by hydrogen peroxide.
