Abstract

Metallosilicalite xerogels of the type MOx-SiO2 where M isTiIV, VV, MoVI, WVI and Se IV have been prepared by the sol-gel method and used as heterogeneous catalysts for the epoxidation, allylic oxidation and carbon-carbon bond cleavage of alkenes, the hydroxylation of phenols, and the oxidation of alcohols to ketones by hydrogen peroxide.
