Abstract

Frequencies of allowed zero-field hyperfine transitions between N = 1 and N = 2 nuclear rotational levels of H+2 have been calculated to high accuracy. Agreement with experiment is to within 0.7 MHz for all the observed transitions, but the accuracy of the present calculations is considerably higher, probably to within 2 kHz. Part of the remaining discrepancy may be due to effects of higher order.
