Abstract

The principle of corresponding states of the equations of state of simple fluids was analyzed. The effects of multibody interactions showed the perturbation of critical points. It was found that the classical corresponding states which was based on critical point constants produced weaker universal behavior with respect to a new scaling procedure linked directly to the two intermolecular interaction potential parameters of a Lennard-Jones-6-12 fluids.
