Abstract

A step was made toward the self-consistent study of black objects in compact 5D background. As such, the initial-value problem for a moment of time-symmetry for spacetimes containing black objects. The apparent horizon of the existing black objects in these solutions was determined. Although the configurations found were not 5D static solutions, these solutions gives some insight on the behavior of the black objects in a compactified background.
