Abstract
The solubilities of 2,3- and 2,7-dialkoxynaphthalenes were measured in water and in mixtures of water and ethanol. From these data the intramolecular hydrophobic interaction between the two alkyl groups in the mixtures relative to those in pure water were calculated.
