Abstract
In this chapter, we situate our study of the life stories of activists for peace in Israel and Palestine within its relevant scientific background. We start by discussing general entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship and defining "peace entrepreneurship" as a unique kind. We then explain our narrative methodological approach, building on studies of life stories as identity. Finally, we offer a concise mapping of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, which the peace entrepreneurs whose stories appear in this book try to reconcile.
