Abstract

From a measurement of the isomer shift of the 83.4 keV rotational transition of 153Eu we obtained a negative value for δ〈r2〉 = 〈r283.4 - 〈r2〉gr. This result is qualitatively accounted for by Kerman's theory of band mixing.
