Large fractional pulse delays in a hot rubidium vapor

Abstract

Widely tunable large fractional pulse delays are achieved in a hot, Rubidium vapor with a spectrally burned resonance hole. The delay is tunable by both power broadening the resonance and frequency modulating the pump laser.
