Larry Abramson's archeology of trauma

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingCatalogue essay

Abstract

Over the past six years, Larry Abramson has been working intensively on hundreds of new canvases. Organized as thematic clusters or full-fledged series, each group of paintings possesses distinctive features and is dominated by discernable new motifs. Yet, these disparate series and groupings also reveal overlapping concerns, a shared visual vocabulary, and significant formal, iconographical and technical affinities.
