Abstract

Results of theoretical calculations for Raman shifted laser radar echoes from clouds and the contribution of the double scattering effect compared to the single scattering signal are discussed. The calculations are undertaken for a Deirmendjian C2 cloud and 3 values of the receiving system field of view. Field measurement results are also presented and discussed. (P.J.B.)
