Local and non-local correlation in liquids and liquid mixtures

Abstract

The well-known form of the long-range correlation in a closed system is rederived from the compressibility equation, and is given a new probabilistic interpretation. A generalization of this result for mixtures and for dissociable particles, along with the corresponding probabilistic interpretation, are also presented.
