Abstract
A study was carried out to compare the local properties and accuracy of the Ps- ground-state wave functions obtained by the stochastic variational method (SVM) and by direct solution of the Schrodinger equation with the help of the correlation-function hyperspherical-harmonic method (CFHHM). It was found that direct solution of the few-body Schroedinger equation facilitating proper inclusion of cusps and analytic structure dramatically increases the quality of the wave function at all interparticle distances.
