Abstract
Eigenfunctions of a generic double-well potential are calculated and found to be of two distinct kinds. The transition from delocalized to localized form, driven by time-independent and time-dependent perturbations, is examined in detail. It is shown that a polar diagram provides a useful description of the localization effects.
