Abstract
Only very limited historic information about the Tiahuanaco is known, as Andean oral traditions very rarely mention this political organism. This mini-monograph is an overview of six 16th and 17th century colonial sources that recorded oral traditions referring to the Tiahuanaco. Szemiński extracts information from those various sources and compares the different accounts of the Tiahuanaco.
