Abstract

We present our most recent advancement in the fabrication process of polymeric waveguide composed of PFCB/Cytop core/cladding. These polymers were chosen to offer low losses and high index contrast. PFCB is also a proven good host for nanocrystals to be embedded in the PFCB core for nonlinear waveguide applications. We achieved 0.95dB/cm propagation loss for 1.5×1.5μm2 waveguide dimensions and a ring resonator with Q factor of 21000.
