N2 - Mössbauer studies have been performed on thin films of βFe2O3 deposited on fused silica or polycrystalline alumina. All the Mössbauer spectra are composed of two subspectra with relative intensities of 3:1. The parameters of the hyperfine interactions in 57Fe below and above the ordering temperature (106.5 ± 1.5 K) were determined.
