Abstract

Mossbauer studies of the 86.5 keV transition of ¹⁵⁵Gd in Gd_0.1La_0.9Ni₅H_x (0 ≤ x ≤ 6.7) and Gd_0.1La_0.9CO₅H_x (0 ≤ x ≤ 4.2) were performed at 4.2 K. Information on local microscopic structure, hyperfine interaction parameters and the ionicity of the hydrogen is obtained.
