Abstract

This paper presents the design of GBPM1, a MATLAB toolbox for parallelization based on the GRID. It provides a programming abstraction higher than message passing. The toolbox is designed with special attention to the aspects of parallel computing such as transparency and fault tolerance. We introduce native, robust and easy-to-use parallelization functions designed for those MATLAB users, who are seeking to achieve better performance without need for any parallel programming skills.
