Abstract

The role of the news media in conflict has long been a central concern in the field of political communication. The major areas of concentration include studies that deal with the role of the media in war, in terrorism, and in protests.1 The topic of media and peace on the other hand has barely been touched.2 It is helpful to begin by thinking about some of the reasons for this disparity.
