Abstract
The rapid transformation of the cannabis industry necessitates creation of manufacturing- specialized companies to source cannabis from growing-specialized companies and to process it into diverse basic and final products. Re-thinking such manufacturing companies requires addressing aspects such as the optimal interface between growers and manufacturers, number of strains to be processed and products diversity, production capacity, dry-matter processing technologies, extraction and extract refining technologies, and RandD needs. Those are discussed below using as an example the situation in Israel and the large-volume new manufacturing plant of Bazelet.
