Abstract

We design and simulate a photonic lantern mode multiplexer compatible with 3D optical waveguide fabrication by direct laser writing, with a photopolymer core and an air cladding. Although the waveguides exhibit high index contrast, excellent performance metrics are obtained for a two mode, micro-scale multiplexer.
