Abstract

Magnetization and dilute 57Fe Mössbauer studies of YbMn2Si2-xGex at temperatures 4.2-650 K display multiple magnetic phase transitions. For YbMn2Ge2, TN = 495(5) K while at 430, 350 and 190 K, drastic changes in canted spin structure antiferromagnetism occur.
