Abstract

Magnetization and dilute ⁵⁷Fe Mössbauer studies of YbMn₂Si_2-xGe_x at temperatures 4.2-650 K display multiple magnetic phase transitions. For YbMn₂Ge₂, T_N = 495(5) K while at 430, 350 and 190 K, drastic changes in canted spin structure antiferromagnetism occur.
