Muslims, Jews and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Abstract

Notes that manifestations of antisemitism have multiplied in the Islamic world. However, the widespread allegation that Islam, or its mainstream, is basically antisemitic, even on a par with Nazism, is an incorrect generalization. Muslim antisemitism is largely a function of the Arab-Israeli conflict, cynically exploited for propaganda reasons by Arab rulers and intellectual elites. There have been peace initiatives in the Arab world that can be laid down as a ground for reconciliation between Arabs and Israelis, Muslims and Jews.
