Nahmanides' addenda to his commentary on the pentateuch in light of ms Cambridge 525

In this article we seek to present, for the first time, a new finding testifying to the addenda which Nahmanides introduced into his Commentary on the Pentateuch after reaching the Land of Israel. We found that MS S (Cambridge 525), which contains only the Book of Genesis, shows evidence of a list of addenda. The contribution of MS S to the study of the addenda which Nahmanides introduced into his Commentary is twofold: first, the new findings lend weight to the assumption that Nahmanides did compile a list of addenda to his Commentary on the Book of Genesis - a list which is no longer extant. In addition, these findings support the assertion that Nahmanides added to his Commentary many addenda fragments beyond those documented in the lists known to us - an assertion which, until now, had been based solely on comparisons between the different manuscripts. Over the past few years we have analysed these addenda, and they are given extensive treatment in a book on this subject which is due for publication in the near future.
