Neutron distributions from a hydrodynamical model

Abstract

A hydrodynamical model is used to derive neutron and neutron-excess distributions in nuclei from experimentally determined proton distributions. The results are found to be in good agreement with pion and ∝-particle scattering data as well as with Coulomb displacement energies.
