Abstract

We describe the synthesis, characterization and properties of the new electrophilic palladium and platinum complexes bearing electron-rich PC(sp ³)P pincer ligands. We found that Lewis acidity of the compounds is low due to the strong σ-donation of the sp³-carbometalated ligand backbone.
