Abstract
We demonstrate the existence of bottleneck effect in the relaxation mechanism of Nd3+ localized moment in the d-band LuRh2 intermetallic compound. The ESR data are analyzed using a phenomenological theory for the dynamic susceptibility. The resonance properties yield information about the spin-flip relaxation of the conduction electrons to the lattice δeL. The values of δeL are smaller than those observed previously for the analogous s-band compounds.
