Abstract
An optical model analysis suggests that the cross section (for a given transition) is an increasing function of the final (kinetic) energy. The energy distribution is derived on the basis of the kinematical restrictions in the final channel. As an example, a statistical approximation for the reaction H- + O2 is considered.
