Abstract

An attempt is made to allow for the entrainment of air into clouds in the developed-convection zone of a tropical cyclone on the basis of the assumption that air flowing into the column of atmosphere above the condensation level of air rising adiabatically from the surface is entrained into the clouds at the level of such inflow.
