Abstract

(Figure Presented) The coupling of oxidases with fluorophore-labeled CdSe/ZnS quantum dots enables the ratiometric fluorescence analysis of enzyme activities and their substrates by the interaction between the biocatalytically generated H2O2 and the quantum dots. The method has been applied to the analyis of glucose and the inhibition of acetylcholine esterase.
