Abstract

The formation of complexes of nickel and mercury with polyamines in the interlayer space of montmorillonite was inferred from Potentiometric titration and differential thermal analysis curves. Two complexes of nickel diethylenetriamine and of mercury with each of the polyamines diethylenetriamine, triethylenetetramine and tetraethylenepentamine and one complex of nickel with both triethylenetetramine and tetraethylenepentamine seem to be formed in interlamellar space.
