Conference

Conference1st international symposium on Discontinuous Galerkin Methods
Abbreviated titleDGM
Country/TerritoryUnited States
CityNewport
Period24/05/9926/05/99
Other Discontinuous Galerkin Methods (DGM) have been developed only recently but have found use quickly in such diverse applications as aeroacoustics, semi-conductor device simulation, turbomachinery, turbulent flows, materials processing, MHD and plasma simulations, and image processing. While there has been a lot of interest in DGM only scattered information is available and there has been no prior effort in organizing a conference and in publishing the existing volume of knowledge on this subject. We invite participation of mathematicians, physicists, and engineers working in this area for possible contributions and plan to publish a book with selective contributions to serve as a reference on this subject.
