Abstract

Transition metal catalyzed oxidations carried out in liquid–liquid biphasic reaction media using aqueous hydrogen peroxide as oxygen donor and quaternary ammonium cations are shown to be reactions in inverse emulsions and not typical phase transfer catalyzed reactions.
