Abstract

The present discussion of Holland's concept of congruence is intended to complement the discussion in the special issue on the topic (Journal of Vocational Behavior, 31, 1987). The first part is devoted to problems associated with the definition and measurement of congruence. The second part focuses on the role of congruence as a predictor of vocational behavior.
