Abstract

Phase transitions, its properties and possible applications of (K, Li)(Ta, Nb)O3 (KLTN) crystals were discussed. The magnitude of charge pumping and giant effective pyroelectric response was found to be proportional to the spontaneous polarization gradient across the graded structure and to the derivative of the dielectric permittivity on temperature. It was also found that KLTN is appropriate to get applied in electrically controlled holographic and compositionally graded pyroelectric devices.
