Physostigmine as an antidote for poisoning by combination of thioridazine and trihexyphenidyl

Abstract

An unusual case of combined poisoning and thioridazine and trihexyphenidyl (Artane) is presented. Treatment with physostigmine reversed the coma without producing any peripheral cholinergic side-effects due to the presence of anticholinergic drug.
