Plasmonic light matter interactions in hot atomic vapors

Abstract

We provide the first experimental demonstration of interactions between surface Plasmon and atomic alkali vapors. Dispersion, absorption, slow and fast light are controlled by the interplay between the atomic line structure and the plasmonic resonance.
