Abstract

Artemia cysts are preyed upon by the larvae of Anacaena (Coleoptera, Hydrophilidae) in the wet supralittoral of the hypersaline Solar Lake near Elat. The larvae are specialized feeders of the cysts, as shown by laboratory experiments.
