Abstract
Experimental evidence is given that the Czechoslovak variety of hemp could, when cultivated in a meteorologically favourable year, have enought Δ9 THC and Δ9 THCA for marihuana effect during smoking. Based on the amount of 1.0% of Δ9 THC and 2% of Δ9 THCA found in the drug one cigarette (=1 g of drug) when smoked can be supposed to actively supply about 27 mg of Δ9 THC, as can be concluded from the addition of the really evidenced amount of Δ9 THC in the drug and of the Δ9 THC amount formed by the decarboxylation of Δ9 THCA during smoking. Δ9 THCA was isolated in the form of its methyl ester.
