Abstract
The present study is concerned with the morphology and properties of the oncornavirus-like particles isolated from Raji and P3HR-1 cells that are derived from Burkitt's lymphoma. These virus particles were found to differ morphologically from mouse leukemia virus released from a human lymphoid cell line passaged in a nude mouse. The arginine-deprived cells contained neoantigens that reacted with antibodies against Rauscher mouse leukemia and simian sarcoma viruses. Thus the proteins synthesized in these cells after arginine deprivation were able to cross react with proteins from mammalian C-type particles (probably the P-30 protein).
