Abstract

Correction to: Nature Climate Change. Published online 25 May 2023. In the version of this article initially published, there was an error in Figure 1b where the key for increase in convective mass flux (ΔMc/Mc > 0) was labeled incorrectly (ΔMc/Mc <0); the error has been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
